Connecticut State Police, along with Middletown Police, are searching for a suspect they say robbed at least four gas stations at knifepoint in three towns over a two-week period in the Middletown area. Officers from Troop F in Westbrook are investigating the four armed robberies which took place early in the morning hours between Aug. 21 and Sept. 5, 2018 according to a press release.
The first and second incidents took place at the Sunoco Gas Station on 110 Saybrook Road in Haddam on Aug. 21 and 27 between midnight and 2:00 a.m., police said. A third robbery occurred at the Gulf Gas Station at 339 South Main Street in Middletown on Aug. 27, and a fourth at the Valero Gas Sation in Durham on Wednesday, Sept. 5, just before 5:00 a.m. at the Valero Gas Station in Durham.
In all four surveillance videos, the suspect is a white male, wearing a gray or light blue hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and a mask covering his face, according to officials. In at least three of the robberies, the male is believed to be using an older model light-colored Toyota Forerunner, according to the press release.
